Payments system unavailable 2pm to 4pm on Monday

We will be unable to take payments between 2pm and 4pm on Monday 3 April, while we carry out work on our payments system.

This will affect payments online, in person and on the phone.

You'll still be able to set up a direct debit and pay for parking. Find out the full list of services affected.

We apologise for the inconvenience. This work is part of a project to improve our payments system for the future.

From council rent to parking permits, you can pay for a wide range of council services online.

How to pay

When you go to our online payments page to make your payment, click on the payment type you’d like to make in the list on the left and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you provide your email address, you can select the option to be sent an automated receipt for your payment. You can also print your receipt from the screen using the print button.

Please email us at banking@brighton-hove.gov.uk if you have a query or experience any problems in making your online payment. We will respond during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Pay by phone

For many council bill types you can also pay by phone 24 hours a day. This is an automated service available on 01273 291908.
