Archaeology project wins Heritage Lottery funding

Tuesday 15 April

Local residents will work with professional and skilled volunteers on the nationally important archaeological monument in Whitehawk. A series of volunteering opportunities, workshops and events will be run at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, Whitehawk Camp and other venues over the next 12 months.

21 November 2013: The 'Sensible on Strength' campaign, which encourages off-licences to take high-strength beers, lagers and ciders off their shelves, featured on the BBC website:

The 'Sensible on Strength' campaign, a joint initiative between the council and Sussex Police, was approved by the city's Licensing Committee on 21 November.

Home swapping event

The council runs house swapping event to ensure residents have suitably sized properties and avoid benefit reductions because of under occupation rules.
