Marriage and Civil Partnership fees and charges

Fees payable before getting married or registering a civil partnership

To enter notice of marriage or civil partnership (28 days notice required), the fees are £35 each.

At the time of booking your appointment with us, we will ask for a booking fee of £35 each. When you attend your appointment, the booking fee will be transferred from your account with us and credited to your notice fee. This means less for you to worry about apart from ensuring you bring the relevant documents with you.

Both parties are required to attend the office to give notice. The notice is valid for 12 months from the date it has been given. A minimum residential qualification of at least seven clear days is required. For further information and to book an appointment please telephone 01273 292016.

The Regency Room has a capacity of 50 maximum guests and is available for ceremonies Monday - Saturday (Sundays and Bank Holidays only when available). To secure your preferred date and time the full fee is taken at the time of booking, please note this fee is transferable. Weddings at other approved venues

There are other venues in Brighton & Hove where you may wish to marry or register your civil partnership. A list of the venues may be found here. To secure your preferred date and time the full fee is taken at the time of booking - please note this fee is transferable.
