CEYC training - supporting 0-2 year olds in the eyfs via elearning
This is an elearning course, which can be started at anytime.
The aim of this course is to develop knowledge and understanding of high-quality provision for babies and toddlers aged 0-2. The course has been designed in line with the EYFS and looks closely at the Development Matters statements for this age group.
The course supports practitioners to reflect upon and consider effective practice as well as analysing their own approach. The progamme includes all the underpinning information to support young children's learning and development including supporting the unique child, building positive relationships through using the key person approach and providing an enabling environment and looking at appropriate activities. The three prime areas of learning and development are explored in the course as well as using observation, assessment and planning effectively to support learning.
On completion of this elearning course, learners will have:
- have a greater understanding of the role of the key person and secure attachments
- know how to implement strategies and practices to support each unique child
- be able to identify schemas, how to accomotdate and develop individual schemas and the links to learning and development elements of the eyfs
The course includes interactive games and quizzes to keep learners engaged whilst also testing understanding.
What level / who should do this training?
This course is for practitioners working in Ofsted registered settings in Brighton & Hove. Unfortunately we cannot offer this for schools or providers outside of the city. We can accept a maximum of 2 applications per setting.
Cost and application
This e-learning course is available at a subsidised cost of £10, which is paid to Brighton & Hove City Council with a credit or debit card, using the online application form and secure payment system.
Once your application and payment has been received, you will be contacted with log-in details. Each learner can then access the elearning course at their own pace and at times to suit them.
