Education, health and care (EHC) plans

An education, health and care (EHC) plan is for children and young people aged up to 25 with special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND).

The purpose of the EHC plan is to make special educational provision to meet the needs of the child or young person and make sure they get the best outcomes in education, health and social care. This includes preparing for adulthood.
