Purposes and lawful basis of processing

We are collecting your data for the purpose of registering an animal feed business.

Information collected may be used to assist in carrying out inspections for compliance purposes. It may also be used for investigations and enforcement action if necessary.

Your contact details may also be used for communication purposes, in relation to the animal feed business.

We have a legal obligation to process your information, specifically working within The Animal Feed (Hygiene, Sampling etc. and Enforcement) (England) Regulations 2015.

Who we will share your data with

Your data may be shared internally with Legal Services should we need to take enforcement action.

Your information may be shared externally with other local authorities, the Food Standards Agency, Veterinary Medicine Directorate, and Animal Plant & Health Authority when there are compliance issues.

How long we will hold your data (retention)

We will hold your data for six years from when the business is no longer in operation. 

Transferring data outside the European Economic Area

Your information is not processed outside of the European Economic Area.
