Get advice and support if you're worried about someone supporting terrorism
If you're concerned that an individual may be susceptible to being drawn into terrorism or supporting terrorism, advice and support from the Prevent Lead Officer in Brighton & Hove City Council or Counter Terrorism Police South East (CTPSE):

By getting advice or support from Prevent, you can help to stop the person you're worried about from becoming a danger to themself or others.
If you're experiencing pressure from others about supporting extremism or terrorism, tell someone you trust.
Support for parents, families, friends or communities concerned about radicalisation
There is no single profile or single pathway to radicalisation. However, if you're worried that someone you know is being radicalised, it's best to seek advice early.
Support from NSPCC
Parents and adults who are concerned about their children being radicalised and the impact of terrorism can:
- phone the NSPCC on 08088 005 000
- visit the protecting children from radicalisation page on the NSPCC website
Support from Action Counters Terrorism (ACT)
Phone the ACT Early Support Line on 08000 113 764, in confidence, to share your concerns with specially trained police officers. The ACT Early Support Line is open from 9am to 5pm every day.
Visit the ACT Early website to see signs of radicalisation, and hear real stories of people affected by radicalisation and the support offered.
Support for professionals concerned about radicalisation
Follow your organisation's safeguarding procedure, if you become aware of an individual you feel is:
- susceptible to radicalisation
- being radicalised
- being encouraged to support terrorism
Speak to a manager or escalate concerns to your designated safeguarding lead.
You can get advice from the Prevent Lead Officer at the Brighton & Hove City Council or CTPSE police colleagues.
