What we do
The Community Safety Partnership’s overarching duty is to:
- reduce crime and disorder
- improve community safety
- reduce re-offending in Brighton & Hove
This will serve to improve the quality of life for everyone who lives in, works in or visits the city.
We work with many agencies to tackle hate incidents, anti-social behaviour, violence against women and girls, and other priority work areas to reduce crimes and increase safety.
We also work in partnership with our communities to protect people from the threat of terrorism and support vulnerable individuals from being drawn into terrorism.
Who we work with
The statutory bodies include:
- Brighton & Hove City Council
- the local probation service
- fire and rescue
- police and the office of the Sussex Police Crime Commissioner
- health services
- local housing providers
Our partners in the community and voluntary sector also play an important role, as do local residents through community forums.
