1. Purpose of the report
1.1
To advise the Schools Forum of the latest 2022/23 Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) allocation published by the Department for Education.
2. Recommendations
2.1
To note the updated net DSG for 2022/23 of £182.075m (after Academy recoupment of £20.508m).
3. Overall DSG 2022 to 2023
3.1
The table provides a summary of the 2022/23 DSG allocation published by the DfE in March 2022.
3.2
Since the last report to Forum in January 2022 the DfE has made adjustments to the high needs block allocation. The changes are detailed in the table below and these are incorporated in the overall summary table in paragraph 3.3.

The Education Skills and Funding Agency will recoup funding for academies and free schools in line with individual budgets calculated within the Schools Block. The recoupment figures are shown in the table below together with the adjustment the Department is making for the change in funding of non-domestic rates in 2022 to 2023.
