Who gets priority

Church voluntary aided and free schools use their own rules, called admissions priorities, to decide which children are offered a school place first.

When their schools want to make changes to these rules they have to consult on the changes. Find details of consultations for arrangements for 2022 to 2023.

When applying for a place at a religious or faith school, children who have the same faith or religion usually get priority over other children who apply.
