About test and trace

Coronavirus advice from the government contains links to all the relevant information including Test and Trace.

The NHS also provide information on their website about what you must do for yourself and those you may care for

Testing of symptomatic staff

Staff who have COVID-19 symptoms should:

  • not attend work if they develop symptoms
  • notify their line manager immediately
  • self-isolate for at least 10 days, following the guidance for household isolation
Care home capacity is monitored via the capacity tracker. The data is shared with Local Resilience Forums via the daily national Situation Reports. This supports capacity planning and response.

However, if providers think there is an imminent risk to the continuity of care - such as the potential closure of a service - they need to raise this with the local authority immediately.
