The council, as a licensing authority, is carrying out a consultation exercise as part of the review of its Gambling Policy.

The policies reflect national legislation and guidance and demonstrate how responsible authorities will operate at a local level.
Proposed changes to the policy may be led by:
- governmental decisions
- lessons learnt in Brighton & Hove
Responding to the proposed policy
The council would like local stakeholders, residents and members of the public as well as statutory consultees and “responsible authorities” to have their say about the proposed policy.
No changes are proposed to the Policy, the content has just been updated to reflect up-to-date facts and figures.
Your views will help to inform the revised policy.
The consultation lasts for 4 weeks. Please respond by no later than 15 September 2024.
