What a food alert is
Find out when the Food Standards Agency would issue alerts about problems with food and where you can find this information.
When the Food Standards Agency will issue food alerts
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues information about problems associated with food.
Where necessary, they publish withdrawal or recall notices if a solution is in place. For example, the business stops selling the product or recalls it from people who’ve bought it.
The FSA issues a Food Alert for Action when enforcement authorities need to get involved. They often issue these alerts alongside the business’ product withdrawal or recall.
