Brighton & Hove climate assembly

We brought together a group of people to learn about climate issues and make recommendations about how things should change.

A series of expert speakers and panellists from across local business, transport, community activist groups, Universities, local government, and more spoke to participants at the climate assembly.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate assembly was held virtually over 5 sessions with assembly members watching presentations, having a Q&A session (both virtually and in email if necessary) and subsequently discussing themes in groups.

Speakers for the climate assembly were:

  • Benjamin Skinner, youth campaigner
  • Katie Cuming, public health consultant for Brighton & Hove City Council
  • Jillian Anable, University of Leeds
  • Mark Prior, Head of Transport for Brighton & Hove City Council
  • Martin Harris, Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus
