Public notices: applications to become an approved venue

In accordance with the Marriages and Civil Partnerships (Approved Premises) Regulations 2005 and on behalf of the General Register office, we're required to publicise all pending applications for approved venue status to hold ceremonies. 

The public notice consultation runs for 21 days from the date of the notice.

Applications and plans under consultation can be viewed at the address below by appointment.

Application

TAKE NOTICE that Brighton & Hove City Council has received an application from

Brighton Pier Group PLC, 36 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5RR 

for the grant of an approval of premises known as

Brighton Palace Pier, Madeira Drive, Brighton BN2 1TW 

for the Solemnisation of Marriages and the registration of Civil Partnerships pursuant to The Marriage and Civil Partnerships (Approved Premises)( Amended)  Regulations 2011. 

A copy of the Application and the accompanying plan may be inspected at the Town Hall, Bartholomews, Brighton

  • between 9.30 am and 5 pm on  Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
  • between 10am and 5 pm on Wednesdays

Any person may give notice in writing of an objection to the grant of approval, with reasons for the objection, within 21 days from the date on which this notice is published by writing to
