How to licence your venue for ceremonies
Apply for a licence to become an approved venue for ceremonies in Brighton & Hove.
Brighton & Hove is full of unique venues. If you own or manage a venue, you can apply for a licence to hold marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.
To become an approved venue, your venue must be:
- a permanent structure
- open to the public
- non-religious in nature

Fees to licence a venue for marriages and civil partnerships
Fees from 1 April 2020 are:
- one room licence: £1,802
- two room licence: £2,234
- three room licence: £2,680
- additional rooms: £288 per room
- licence amendment fee: £40
The licence runs for three years from the date of approval.
