The Quality Monitoring Team
Our Quality Monitoring Team (QMT) works alongside the providers we have contracts with. Together, they make sure the care our contractors provide is good quality.
These services include:
- home care
- care homes
- care homes with nursing
- learning disability care homes & supported living
- other supported living services
The QMT keep a check on the providers, they visit them, gather feedback and write reports. Providers need to meet certain standards of care, quality and safety.
If you have concerns about a provider, send an email to accesspoint@brighton-hove.gov.uk or phone 01273 29 55 55.
The Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates health and social care, and makes sure they meet quality and safety standards. They also provide free, independent reports on the quality of care provided.
If the standard required is not met, the QMT will work with partner organisations including the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), to support providers to improve. The QMT also share information about providers with the CQC.
Check the rating of a council service on the Care Quality Commission website, or find out how to get good quality care.
If you have questions for the CQC, use their online contact form, or phone 03000 616 161.
