Brighton Unemployed Centre Families Project (BUCFP) was set up in 1981 and is a registered charity. BUCFP provide practical support, education, advice, lunch clubs and much more to the unemployed, those in poor living conditions, benefit claimants, pensioners, families and those on low incomes.
A local volunteer-led project which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of isolated and vulnerable older people (aged 50+). A varied programme of free classes and activities for people living in East Brighton and a citywide Healthlink scheme with volunteers accompanying and supporting older people to health appointments on public transport, taxis, buses and patient transport services across Brighton and Hove.
A local lunch club for people aged 50+ and disabled people, you can also get involved in the raffle and bingo.
A variety of activities for children and adults take place throughout the week from Tai- chi to bingo.
Their are halls available for hire if you would like to run your own group or activity.

Switchboard's Older People's Project is for LGBTQ people aged 50+ looking for a sense of community, support or information.
The project runs a number of regular social activities, meet ups and trips. The Older People's Project also provide information and host workshops about services for older people and make connections for people within the community and to other services.
The Hop 50+ is a community space and café which offers a range of activities and social opportunities for people aged 50+. It supports customers to improve their health and wellbeing, to learn new skills. It is a place where people can enjoy good food and company.
