Gig Buddies pairs up people with and without learning disabilities, that have similar interests, to be friends and to go to events together. The project aims to tackle social isolation by improving community networks and providing the opportunity for adults with learning disunities to have proper choice over how they live their lives. They also run monthly socials across Sussex which people can join, while they wait to be matched to a Gig Buddy volunteer.

A local volunteer-led project which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of isolated and vulnerable older people (aged 50+). A varied programme of free classes and activities for people living in East Brighton and a citywide Healthlink scheme with volunteers accompanying and supporting older people to health appointments on public transport, taxis, buses and patient transport services across Brighton and Hove.
Weekly lunch club for all ages on Thursday from 12pm - 2.30pm. £4 for a home cooked 2 course meal. You can get involved in Bingo, weekly raffles and fun activities. Transport available from across the city for £2 per person.
A local lunch club for people aged 50+ and disabled people, you can also get involved in the raffle and bingo.
A local day centre with services available to older people (over 50 years or where there is a need), who welcome some support during the day and benefit from meeting others from within their local community. They aim to promote independence and enhance the quality of life of those who attend.
A variety of activities for children and adults take place throughout the week from Tai- chi to bingo.
Their are halls available for hire if you would like to run your own group or activity.

Sussex Cricket provides people of all ages with access to cricket . Their DIScoverABILITY programme provides opportunities for disabled people to lead an active lifestyle, develop skills for independent living and be the best cricketers they can be. Sussex Cricket also provide outreach coaching sessions for schools, colleges, day centres, care homes and charities, host clubs in leisure centres and sports facilities, as well as two competitive Sussex County Disability Squads.
Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ people looking for community, support or information. We connect people and support them directly through specially developed Switchboard services or link them to other specialist organisations.
Set up in 1975 Switchboard has been listening to, informing and supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people in Brighton & Hove and beyond. Originally a helpline, we have developed additional services and now offer much more.
