A national charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people. They are supported by a network of volunteers, who organise monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for small groups of older people, aged 75 and over, who live alone.

Health and Wellbeing Visits Project

A local service covering East Sussex and Brighton & Hove, the Health and Wellbeing Visits Project arranges for older people to be visited in their own homes for a conversation with the client about their health and wellbeing needs and priorities. Basic information and advice are offered together with the possibility of a referral to another appropriate source of help.

Their aim is to reduce inequalities for vulnerable older people in deprived neighbourhoods.

A local volunteer-led project which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of isolated and vulnerable older people (aged 50+). A varied programme of free classes and activities for people living in East Brighton and a citywide Healthlink scheme with volunteers accompanying and supporting older people to health appointments on public transport ? taxis, buses and patient transport services across Brighton and Hove.
