The Hop 50+ is a community space and café which offers a range of activities and social opportunities for people aged 50+. It supports customers to improve their health and wellbeing, to learn new skills. It is a place where people can enjoy good food and company.
The Leisure Card is available to Brighton & Hove residents in receipt of certain state benefits and gives a discount of approximately 40% on selected activities at seven leisure centres across the city. The scheme is operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council.

St Vincent De Paul Tower House Support Centre is a place for older people who may be experiencing isolation in Brighton and Hove.
There is a lunch club twice a week and a number of activities held on various days of the week.

Tower House offers an opportunity to enjoy a social lunch for anyone who considers themselves elderly and isolated. We currently run lunches on Wednesdays and Thursdays, offering a two course meal. Lunch takes place at 12:30pm with activities at 10:30 am and/or 2pm.
A worldwide organisation of self-help, self-managed learning cooperatives for older people no longer in full-time work. It is about keeping active when no longer in full employment, learning for pleasure or gaining a new skill. There are no exams to be passed or qualifications to be gained, but you will meet new ideas and new people in a friendly, co-operative and informal atmosphere.
Preston Park U3A branch was formed in November 2007 and has over 350 members and more than 50 active interest group subjects and also arranges for hired speakers, social activities and outings.
