A local sports and social group that aims to encourage LGBT people to play sport: enriching lives, promoting health and fitness and developing sporting talent in the LGBT community. Aimed at all ages and abilities members participate in a variety of sports and social meetings which is a great way to meet people, keep fit, and have fun.
Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ people looking for community, support or information. We connect people and support them directly through specially developed Switchboard services or link them to other specialist organisations.
Set up in 1975 Switchboard has been listening to, informing and supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people in Brighton & Hove and beyond. Originally a helpline, we have developed additional services and now offer much more.
Switchboard's Older People's Project is for LGBTQ people aged 50+ looking for a sense of community, support or information.
The project runs a number of regular social activities, meet ups and trips. The Older People's Project also provide information and host workshops about services for older people and make connections for people within the community and to other services.
