Brighton and Hove Cancer Support Group

A local group aiming to compliment conventional medical treatment and provide a caring and sociable place for people with cancer and their carers. The group provides a monthly gathering which is run and attended by alternative therapists. The therapists offer support and hands-on healing including reiki, crystal healing, touch for health, reflexology and Bach flower remedies.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals - Macmillan Horizon Centre

The Macmillan Horizon Centre will be opening in Summer 2016. It has been designed with input from people affected by cancer to make it the best place to offer the support and services that people in Sussex need. The centre will offer all round support from a team of specialists in a calm, friendly and welcoming environment.


A national organisation that aims to enhance the awareness of symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people. They campaign to reduce the time it takes to diagnose children and young people with brain tumours, by educating healthcare professionals and the public about the symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people.


A national website offering practical advice for people diagnosed with cancer, their families and friends. They provide information, practical advice and support, and you can hear from experts and read about other peopleÂ's experiences.

Macmillan- Brighton buddies

Brighton buddies is a home befriending service for people affected by cancer, managed and governed by Macmillan. They prioritise particularly socially isolated people (e.g. living alone, family live away) and offer a visit once a week from a trained volunteer for approximately 12 visits, a listening ear service, practical and emotional support.
