A national organisation that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. You can find information on your diagnosis, treatment options and where to go for support. They can also help you make choices about treatment, understand your rights or reach out to other sources of support.

Mind Brighton and Hove

A local charity that works to promote good mental health in Brighton and Hove. They seek to empower people to lead a full life as part of their community. The local directory has been designed to help individuals and professionals locate services and resources which directly or indirectly promote and support mental health and wellbeing. NHS, other statutory, voluntary and non-profit making organisations are all included.

Silver cloud

Secure, immediate access to online supported CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) programmes, tailored to your specific needs. They are flexible and you can access it anywhere, on your computer, tablet or mobile phone.

The programmes consist of six to eight modules which you can complete these at your own pace. You work independently, but a supporter will provide online feedback and guidance at regular intervals.

Social Anxiety UK

A national site aiming to provide a starting point for people finding out about social anxiety and related issues, to enable them to access further information and to act as a central hub for the community of those with social anxiety problems. Their aim is to attempt to raise the profile of SA problems and campaign for change, so that in future, people afflicted by them don't have to suffer in silence.

Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service

The Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service (SPMHS) is a community-based service for mums with severe mental health difficulties either now or in the past, during pregnancy or up to a year after birth. The service is provided by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The SPMHS comprises four teams of perinatal mental health professionals from a range of different disciplines. These include psychiatrists, mental health nurses, psychologists, parent-infant psychotherapists and nursery nurses.

Sussex Mental Healthline

A local telephone service offering support and information to anyone experiencing mental health problems including stress, anxiety and depression. The service is also available to carers and healthcare professionals. You do not need an appointment. The service offers immediate support for people experiencing distress in a crisis.
