Advice now is an independent, not-for-profit website providing accurate information on rights and the law. They believe that everybody should have access to clear and effective guidance to help them deal with law-related issues. They provide information on a range of subjects including benefits, employment and familiy issues.

Affordable warmth grants

A national organisation that provide grants to those who need it most, for energy saving improvements like new boilers and insulation.

If you're on a low income, or you receive certain benefits, you may be entitled to a grant towards home improvements such as a new boiler or insulation, that will reduce your heating bills.

A national independent adoption agency working throughout England and Wales to help all those affected by adoption. From placing children with adoptive parents to supporting birth families and reuniting families separated through adoption, they can work with all groups of people affected by adoption.

Age UK Brighton & Hove - Nail cutting

Age UK's local nail cutting service is available to those who have impaired eyesight, reduced mobility because of arthritic changes, or an inability to reach their feet for physical or medical reasons. The service is also for when it would not be safe or practical for you to take on this task yourself.

Age UK Crisis Service- Level 1

The Crisis Service can help with problems such as if you find yourself suddenly ill in bed, if you are recovering from a bereavement, or are home from hospital after being discharged.

Crisis Level 1 provides temporary emergency support when other services are not available.

Age UK Crisis Service- Level 2

Level 2 service offers support to older people to help increase confidence, prevent falls and maintain independent-living. This can involve a one-off visit to provide advice on preventing falls, or a number of regular visits over a period of weeks from a volunteer to help rebuild confidence and work towards self-selected goals.

Level 2 can also provide signposting to other voluntary services that can help with falls prevention and rehabilitation.
