Who we’ll share your data with
Your information will be shared with internal Brighton & Hove City Council officers and any external partners who will be assisting with your business enquiry.
How long we will keep your data
We will not keep your data for longer than is necessary, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain the data and you may opt out at any time by contacting Economic.development@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
How we store your data
We'll store your information on electronic databases and document management systems.
How we protect your data and keep it secure
We will only make your information available to those who have a need to know in order to assist with your business enquiry. Examples of the security measures we use are:
- training our staff, making them aware of how to handle information securely, and how and when to report when something goes wrong
- controlling access to systems and networks allows us to stop people who are not allowed to view your personal information, from getting access to it
- regular testing of our technology and ways of working, including keeping up to date on the latest security updates, called patches

We aim to resolve all complaints about how we handle personal information. You also have the right to make a complaint about data protection to the Information Commissioner's Office.
