We are collecting your data in order to run the council’s Dog Walkers Scheme. The scheme promotes the highest standard of practice for dog walking companies who operate in Brighton & Hove.
Our lawful basis for processing is explicit consent as the scheme is voluntary.
Who we will share your data with
Your data will not be shared internally, however, your business name and contact details will be uploaded on to the council’s website.
How long we will hold your data (retention)
We will hold your data for as long as you wish to remain a part of the scheme.
Purposes and consent
We are collecting your data for the purpose of running the council’s dog walking scheme and once signed up your details will be uploaded on to the council’s website for the public to view. This will be on the basis of your consent, which you will need to give when you fill in the application form.

Under GDPR you have certain rights concerning your information.
We aim to resolve all complaints about how we handle personal information. You also have the right to make a complaint about data protection to the Information Commissioner's Office.
