We would also recommend that an individual takes medical advice before participating if they fall into any of the following categories, to ensure they receive good advice on the type and level of physical activity most suitable for them:
- if they have experienced chest pain when doing a physical activity
- if they have experienced chest pain whilst not doing physical activity in the past month
- if they have lost balance due to dizziness
- if they have lost consciousness
- if they have a bone or joint problem that is made worse by physical activity
