Rail

Coach
National Express coach travels to over 900 destinations throughout the UK including Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton & Stansted Airport. There is a National Express direct coach service from Brighton to Gatwick and Heathrow Airport. 

Ferries
Transmanche Ferries operate a daily, year round classic ferry service between Newhaven and Dieppe. Brighton is only 25 minutes by road or rail from Newhaven. 

The Channel Tunnel and other major ports - Dover, Folkestone, Portsmouth and Southampton - are between one and two hours away by motorway and can also be reached by train.

Airports

  • London Gatwick international airport is 26 minutes by frequent train services and 35 minutes by road from Brighton.
  • London Heathrow airport is 70 minutes by road, entirely on dual carriageway trunk roads and motorways.
  • Shoreham Airport is a major base for flying activities on the south coast and, for those conducting business in the South East of England, provides an excellent entry and departure point for Western Europe and the Channel Islands with easy access to Gatwick Airport, London and the rest of the UK.

There is also the National Express direct coach service from Brighton to Gatwick and Heathrow Airport.
