Annual report to council tenants and leaseholders 2012
Our annual report to all council tenants and leaseholders on the council’s performance as your landlord in the year from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 is now available.
We’ve worked closely with residents to make sure we’re giving you the information you want and, following your feedback, have produced a shorter annual report this year.
You’ll find information on how we’re performing, how we use the money we get from rents and service charges, what we’re doing well and where we need to improve. You’ll also find details of how we’ve met our commitments to you and the improvements we’re making this year.
A shorter version of this report (without the service reports on pages 8-11) is being sent out to tenants and leaseholders inside the winter 2012 edition of Homing In.
Please tell us what you think of this report and what you would like in a future year’s report by emailing us at RIT@brighton-hove.gov.uk.

Annual report to council tenants and leaseholders 2010
Our first annual report to all council tenants and leaseholders in 2010 was very well received. A report by four national tenant organisations who looked at 257 landlords’ annual reports praised its comprehensive and honest service assessment. They liked that it included quotes from residents about levels of service and were impressed that tenants were heavily involved in developing the report, with input from resident groups and information based on wide consultation.
A longer, full report was sent to all tenant associations and to any tenant or leaseholder who wanted one:
