Heroes Welcome in Brighton & Hove
The Heroes Welcome scheme all started in Scarborough when a few local businesses, now over 500 strong and growing, grouped together in order to offer visiting service personnel special discounts.
Brighton & Hove City Council has now signed up to the Heroes Welcome campaign to show support for British armed forces personnel. We are working with local businesses to offer discounts, service upgrades or special acknowledgement. Keep a look out for places where they display the above logo.
The campaign was launched in Brighton & Hove on the 11 November 2009 by the then Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Ann Norman.
The scheme aims to provide a heroes welcome to the men and women of the British armed forces (including reserved forces) and veterans on production of an identification card.
