Free swimming at Brighton & Hove City Council swimming
On the 17th June 2010 the government announced that the funding for the Free Swimming Scheme would finish on 31st July 2010. In Brighton & Hove many of our residents have benefited from this scheme and the council have been considering options to extend the scheme beyond this date.
Brighton & Hove City Council in conjunction with NHS Brighton & Hove Primary Care Trust are pleased to announce that the existing scheme will be extended until the end of the school summer holidays for children 16 and under and over 60s. Furthermore, with the support funding from NHS Brighton & Hove, children aged 11 and under will still be able to swim for free until 31st March 2011.
