School term and holiday dates in Brighton & Hove

Academic Year 2012/2013

The first day of the Autumn Term 2012 for pupils will be Wednesday 5 September 2012, but please check individual schools for their INSET days.

The first day of the Autumn Term 2013 for pupils will be Wednesday 4 september 2013, but please check individual schools for their INSET days.

In-service Training (INSET) days

In addition to the school holiday dates above, schools are closed for five staff training days in a school year, known as INSET days.  One of these days is always the day before pupils start back to school for the autumn term.
