Roundabout Children's Centre and The Deans CC

Roundabout children's centre

Roundabout Children's Centre offers services for families with children under five in all areas of Whitehawk, part of Kemp Town and The Deans (Woodingdean, Ovingdean, Rottingdean and Saltdean). There is also a gateway children's centres at Rudyard Kipling Primary School, Chalkland Rise, Woodingdean.

Roundabout Nursery is next door to the children's centre in Whitehawk.

The children's centre team is based in Roundabout Children's Centre. The teams are made up of health visitors, early years visitors, community nursery nurse, speech therapists and parent involvement workers. The team works with families, individuals and groups, in the home and in the centres.

Parents are able to get services and support for their children as well as advice and information in the children's centres. Some of the group activities are drop-in sessions and others are by appointment or referral. Health Visitors hold drop-in child health clinics for children under 5.

  • Friday 9.30 – 11.00 at Roundabout CC
  • Tuesday 1.30 - 3.00 at Saltdean CC
  • Weds 10.30 - 11.45 at The Crypt, St George's Church, Kemp Town
  • Weds 11.00 - 12 at St Margaret's Cottage, Rottingdean
  • Thurs 11.00 - 12 at The Deans CC
  • Thurs 11.00 - 12 at Hazel Cottage, Warren Road

Roundabout and The Deans children's centres have advisory groups that support and guides the services offered. Local parents are involved in this group. If you would like to join an advisory group, please contact the Service Support Manager or Parent Involvement Worker at the centre.

Volunteer opportunities are available.  Please contact the Parent Involvement Worker or the Service Support Manager on (01273) 290300.
