North Portslade Children's Centre and South Portslade CC
North Portslade Children's Centre offers services for families with children under 5 years to all areas of Portslade.There is a Gateway Children's Centre at South Portslade library.
Acorn Nursery is next to the children's centre.
The children's centre team is based in Mile Oak Medical Centre, Chalky Road. The team is made up of health visitors and early years visitors. The team works with families, individuals and groups, in the home and in the centre.
Group activities are held in the children's centre. Some of these are drop-in sessions and others are by appointment or referral. All groups for North and South Portslade children's centres are listed in the centres activity diary April 2013 [PDF 172KB]. Please contact the children's centre for a copy.
Health Visitors hold drop-in child health clinics for children under 5.
- South Portslade children's centre - Mondays 9.30 - 11.15
- North Portslade children's centre - Wednesdays 1.00– 2.30
North Portslade Children's Centre has an advisory group that supports and guides the services offered. Local parents are involved in this group. If you would like to join the advisory group, please contact the Service Support Manager or Parent Involvement Worker at the centre.
Volunteer opportunities are also available.
