Me, Myself & Eye

Brighton Media Centre 19-22 May

Launch 6.30pm 19 May

Jade

Brighton & Hove Youth Offending Team present a multimedia exhibition exploring issues of identity, social exclusion and everyday life experiences on the street.

The young people and families who have taken part in this exhibition have had some complex and adverse life experiences but, despite social, personal and political barriers are working to improve their situations.

The work is a collaborative effort combining film, art, scuplture and creative writing.  It allows both the artist and the public to explore these unique sitiuations in a creative framework, without society judging or viewing them in a negative light.  We can all learn something from these artists who can offer a voice of inspiration to others, and look to explore our own part in a society that judges too much and seeks to understand too little.
