Planning Committee

The Planning Committee meets at 2pm every three weeks in the Council Chamber at Hove Town Hall - go to our Planning Committee dates page for future dates.

The most major or controversial planning applications are considered first followed by a short break at 4pm. Other applications that have public speakers are then considered followed by the rest of the applications.

The council has a scheme of delegation [PDF 50kb] to officers, whereby any application that attracts five or more objections, or expressions of support, is considered by the Planning Committee.  However, Ward Councillors, CAG (Conservation Advisory Group) and DAAG (Disabled Access Advisory Group) can call in any applications, within the specified consultation period, they would like to go before the Committee.
