Independent money advice you can trust

Brighton & Hove now has dedicated web pages offering free, impartial advice on how to make the most of limited family budgets.

They are the result of a joint project between the council and the UK's financial watchdog, the Financial Services Authority, to run a money advice week in January.

You can find the financial advice pages at www.brightonmoneyweek.fsa.gov.uk.

The City of Brighton & Hove Credit Union (CBHCU) is a not for profit savings and loans co-operative. It makes it possible for people to avoid loan sharks and get access to savings and loans schemes.

The credit union is fully regulated by the Financial Services Authority, so you'll know that your money is safe. It is particularly useful for people on low incomes who find it difficult to get access to loans from traditional high street banks.

See here for full details of the City of Brighton & Hove Credit Union.
