We're off 'On the Pull'
Love is in the air with a new exhibition at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. The museum is going ‘On the Pull’ with a series of displays and events exploring love and attraction.
From happy-ever-after endings to heartache, and from romance to rejection, On the Pull looks at courtship across the ages, through music, film, paintings, pottery and postcards.
Visitors can discover the hidden love stories behind objects in the museum’s collection and pucker up in a kissing booth to record an image of their lips. There’s also a chance to record your own special place – a first date, for example – on a giant ‘love map’ of the city.
The programme of events includes Dance at the Museum on February 23, an opportunity to learn modern jive with a swing band; and Cuddling in the Back Row, a nostalgic look back at cinemas, on March 29.
On the Pull opens on Valentine’s Day and runs until September 1, the museum is open daily except Mondays. For latest information, including opening times and events, checkout myspace.com/brightononthepull or ring (01273) 292864.
