What is a Travel Plan?

A Travel Plan is a set of measures that can help promote sustainable transport within an organisation.  Travel Plans are location specific, and are different depending on the size, type and location of the organisation.

Brighton & Hove City Council is working with employers across the city through the Workplace Travel Plan Partnership. This will help to share ideas between the council and other organisations, put measures in place to reduce levels of congestion and pollution in the city, and offer advice and support on transport issues.

New members of the Partnership are always welcome, if you are an employer and would like further information please complete the online form.

The council has written a document to help employers write and implement their own Travel Plan.  Follow the link to view or download Guidance for the Production of Workplace Travel Plans [PDF 997kb]

For further information about Workplace Travel Plans from the Department for Transport.

If you would like to speak to the Travel Planning team, please call (01273) 292233 or email travel.planning@brighton-hove.gov.uk
