Decorating and gardening discretionary schemes for council tenants
Help with gardening and decorating
Brighton & Hove City Council runs schemes to help tenants with decorating and gardening. You must be of pension age or have a disability and receiving Disability Living Allowance to qualify. There are further conditions for each scheme which are outlined in the leaflets below.
- Apply for our decorating scheme using our online decorating application form.
- Apply for our gardening scheme using our online gardening application form.
You can also view or download leaflets giving more information about the schemes below, or pick them up from your local housing office.
Please note that the amount of money available each year for the schemes is limited and applications to the schemes can close when we reach the maximum amount. Please read the scheme details carefully before applying.
17.04.13 ***We have now reached capacity on the gardening scheme for 2013-2014. Any further eligible applications will be added to a waiting list in case further spaces become available but it is unlikely that there will be many. We are still receiving applications so it is likely that there will be many disappointed tenants. Unfortunately the funding for this discretionary scheme is limited and the fairest way we can allocate places amongst our elderly and disabled tenants is on a first come first serve basis.***
