If you are unsure of the car parking site or garage area nearest to you, or would like information of prices or any other issues, please contact us on (01273) 296646 or email us at Parking.Domestic@brighton-hove.gov.uk.

Anybody can apply, although priority will be given to Blue Badge holders, then council tenants and leaseholders, and then private applicants.

We operate three pricing zones - see the car parks & garages charges 2012 [PDF 19kb] and list of pricing zones [PDF 13kb] for details and current prices.

Please note:

  • council-owned garages and car parking spaces are for domestic parking use only
  • we only accept direct debits or standing orders as a method of payment for all new garage or car parking space accounts
  • we do not provide for storage of personal items or permit commercial business to be operated from our sites
  • applicants will not be placed on the waiting list for allocation of a space or garage unless all housing accounts (rent or other charges) are clear of arrears
  • the licence of your car parking space or garage will be at risk if you do not keep up the payments on your account
  • please notify the Car Parks & Garages Team if your contact details change

Terminating your car parking space or garage licence

You will need to give us seven days Notice of Termination if you intend to give up your car parking space or garage, ending on a Monday.

If you would like to terminate your licence, please complete and sign the Car Park & Garage Notice of Termination form, and send it to the address above. We cannot end your car parking or garage licence until we have received this signed notice.

Please note that if you terminate your residential tenancy, your car parking space or garage licence will not automatically terminate. You will need to terminate your space or garage licence separately using the attached form.
