Disability Employment - Supported Employment

The Supported Employment team is based at the Knoll Business Centre in Portslade, Hove
 
It helps people who have disabilities or who are on benefits into work.

How to find us:
By train:  Five minutes’ walk from Portslade Station
By bus:  Buses 2, 2A, stop opposite our office and 49, 49A and 46 will drop you outside Portslade Station
By car:  Go up the slip road that leads off the Old Shoreham Road.

Supported Employment

Supported Employment provides support for disabled people who face complex or additional barriers when seeking employment. 

If you are disabled and want to work, we would like to hear from you.  Our Employment Officers can provide you with advice and support on how you can realise your full potential and gain employment.

We help by:

  • talking to you about your options
  • carrying out a work-focused assessment
  • agreeing a job preparation action plan
  • updating your CV 
  • providing advice on suitable work opportunities
  • writing letters of support to employers
  • completing application forms
  • providing mock interviews
  • supporting you at the interview

Once you are employed we can continue to help both you and your employer with:

  •  the induction and training process
  •  information on job adjustments
  •  job coaching
  • on-going support and improving your skills

Supported Business

The Supported Business, also known as  Castleham Hove, runs a manufacturing business undertaking digital, foil block and pad printing; machine embroidery; mail out, assembly and packing.

We can deliver all your printing requirements from our well-equipped print department operated by experienced staff. We can also machine embroider your company or club logo on to your own work or personal garments or we can supply them from one of our top quality suppliers.

Our Assembly & Packing team are highly skilled and able to assemble and pack anything from electro/mechanical units to cosmetics and mail-outs.
Our staff are also pleased to entertain enquiries for any other work that we may be able to help your business with.
