Brighton & Hove Governor Support provides training and support for school governors and managers in Brighton & Hove, through an annual training programme, governor newsletter, school bulletins and work with individual governing bodies.

How can I become a school governor?

 By completing our online application form.  Further information about what is involved and details of which schools have vacancies for governors can be obtained from the Governor Support Team tel (01273) 293506/293507

What training is offered to new school governors?

There is an annual programme of training, development and briefings. Details are issued on a termly basis and can be obtained by ringing (01273) 293595.

What is the Governors' Network?
The Governors' Network is open to all governors at schools in Brighton & Hove. It meets once a term to discuss issues of interest to governors. The elected committee meets more often and undertake consultations on behalf of local governors. For details of the next meeting tel (01273) 293506
