- there are 16 libraries in Brighton & Hove including a mobile library and equal access centre.
- around 600,000 items are kept in stock - books for loan, reference books, videos and DVDs, music CDs and cassettes, audio books and toys.
- there are nearly 100 computers for public use offering free internet access and word processing.
- everyone is welcome to join, just call in at any library, taking recent identification as proof of your address (for example an electricity or gas bill). Children aged 15 or under will need a parent or guardian's signature
- once you're a library member you can use any of the city's libraries and borrow a total of 40 items including books, and up to eight CDs, videos or DVDs.
