The crematorium grounds have been developed in a well wooded valley and contains many fine specimens of trees and shrubs. The area adjacent to the north and south chapels has been beautifully landscaped with lawns, a waterfall and stream, rockeries and flower beds to provide a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for those attending funerals.

A garden of remembrance has been developed to meet the needs of the bereaved by providing alternative areas to strew or bury cremated remains and to place a form of commemoration if required. Different areas have been set aside - one as a light woodland and the other as lawns, flowering trees and rose beds. A children's memorial garden and a hall of memory to commemorate loved ones, are also available.
Car parking, water taps and litter bins are available throughout the garden.
The crematorium grounds are open 365 days a year. Monday to Saturday from 9am, Sunday and public holidays from 11am. The grounds are closed at 4pm during the winter and 5.30pm during the summer.
