Changes to Local Bus Services from the end of September [PDF - 78KB]

Big improvements to Coastliner 700 from 6th June

Stagecoach has announced big improvements to their popular Coastliner 700 network, from Sunday 6 June.

Between Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing, Coastliner 700 buses will run later Monday to Saturday, providing a half hourly service until approximately 11pm.

A new nightbus service – N700 – will be introduced, running on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. This new route will link Brighton with Shoreham, South Lancing, Worthing, Goring and Durrington every hour, until approximately 3.30am!

On Sundays, the Littlehampton (‘Wick’) buses will be extended to and from Arundel every hour.  Together with the hourly Portsmouth & Southsea service, there’ll continue to be a bus every 30 minutes between Brighton, Worthing & Littlehampton on Sunday daytimes.

Coastliner 700 buses will still run every 10 minutes (Monday to Saturday daytimes) between Brighton, Shoreham, Worthing & Littlehampton.  From Littlehampton, 4 buses per hour will continue to Bognor, Chichester, Portsmouth & Southsea and 2 per hour will extend to Arundel.

These improvements have been funded through a successful West Sussex County Council/Stagecoach bid for ‘Kickstart’ funding.

Spring & Summer Breeze Times

From Sunday 28 March our Breeze services are moving up a gear!

Buses on all three routes will run every Saturday, as well as every Sunday and Bank Holiday.  On the 77 route to Devil’s Dyke the frequency will double to two buses per hour.

Also, from 27 June and right through July and August, the 77 route will run seven days a week – normally with open top buses.  During this High Summer period, there will be later buses to Devil’s Dyke, with the last bus back from the Dyke leaving at 8.30 pm:  ideal for a summer evening stroll!
