Buses
Bus travel in Brighton & Hove is easy and convenient with a flat single rate fare of £1.80 (£1.50 within the city centre) and a day's unlimited travel from £3.00(online price). There are large discounts for senior citizens and for children and teenagers.
There's a wide range of money-saving tickets which make bus travel even better value. Buses run every few minutes on main routes and there are plenty of city centre bus stops - five colour-coded metro lines run through central Brighton & Hove.
Most buses are the latest models with clean, comfortable interiors as well as easy access and priority seating for older people, disabled people and those with buggies or carrying children. For local bus times and fares go to the Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company's website.
Stagecoach service 700 provides local travel between Kingsway and the city centre.
The Big Lemon also run a service between the city centre and the universities.
For people who find it difficult to use buses or get to bus stops Easylink is a door to door transport service.
