Fork & Dig It is a community organic gardening group based in Stanmer Organics, Stanmer Park, Brighton (near the Earthship http://www.lowcarbon.co.uk/earthship-brighton). We work on 2 acres of land surrounded by lovely woods on the edge of the Downs. We require volunteers to assist with gardening duties ranging from general weeding and hoeing, to sowing seeds, harvesting products and light digging. There are also opportunities to undertake other duties such as assisting with fundraising; attending events and outreach work in the local community; networking and marketing. Volunteer days are Tuesdays and Fridays. Contact Tim in advance 07766 972915. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear eg for working in the countryside or on an allotment. Meet: Opposite the Earthship in Stanmer Organics. Buses: 25 & 78 on Sundays. Trains: Falmer station 1 mile.
