The Brighton & Hove Trading Standards Approved Buy With Confidence scheme promotes and supports good reliable tradesmen and businesses while increasing consumer protection. We provide an approved trader list. Find out more information for businesses interested in joining the scheme

Consumer information and advice service

Telephone consumer advice and information in Brighton & Hove is now provided by Citizens Advice consumer service. Citizens Advice consumer service is a telephone and online consumer advice service, which is supported by local authorities in the South East of England, and by the Department of Trade and Industry.

Support with Confidence

Support with Confidence is a new council initiative, a partnership between Adult Social Care and Trading Standards. The scheme will provide a database of approved Personal Assistants (PAs) which you can use.
